GTA Universe Scam and Robbery Rules

1. Scam Rules

1.1 General Guidelines for Scams

  • 1.1.1 Roleplay Context: All scams must occur within a clear roleplay context. Scams should enhance the narrative and be part of a character’s development, not just for personal gain.
  • 1.1.2 Realistic Scams: Scams must be realistic and believable within the game world. Overly complex or unrealistic scams that break immersion are prohibited.
  • 1.1.3 Player Consent: While not required, it is encouraged to seek OOC consent for scams involving large sums or significant impact, to ensure all parties are comfortable.

1.2 Limits on Scams

  • 1.2.1 Maximum Loss Limit: The maximum amount of in-game currency or value that can be scammed in a single transaction is $50,000.
  • 1.2.2 Frequency Limit: A player can conduct a scam involving significant amounts ($10,000 or more) no more than once per week to prevent habitual scamming behavior.
  • 1.2.3 New Player Protection: Scams targeting new players (those with less than 10 hours of playtime or within their first week) are prohibited.

1.3 Prohibited Scam Types

  • 1.3.1 No OOC Manipulation: Scams must not involve out-of-character manipulation, deceit, or metagaming.
  • 1.3.2 No Permanent Loss: Scams must not result in the permanent loss of irreplaceable items or character assets.
  • 1.3.3 Avoiding Exploits: Using game mechanics exploits or bugs to facilitate scams is strictly forbidden.
  • 1.3.4 Properties: You may not scam for any form of properties. This includes vehicles.

1.4 Reporting and Resolution

  • 1.4.1 Reporting Scams: Players who believe they have been unfairly scammed should report the incident to staff with evidence such as screenshots or chat logs.
  • 1.4.2 Investigation and Restitution: Staff will investigate reported scams and may return lost items or currency if the scam is found to violate server rules.

2. Robbery Rules

2.1 General Guidelines for Robberies

  • 2.1.1 Roleplay Context: All robberies must be conducted within a clear roleplay context. Robbers should have a believable motive and plan that fits within the server’s lore.
  • 2.1.2 Realistic Execution: Robberies must be realistic in their execution. Characters should not have unrealistic abilities or resources to carry out robberies.
  • 2.1.3 Player Interaction: Robberies should involve meaningful player interaction and opportunities for roleplay. Avoid situations where victims have no chance to respond or interact.

2.2 Limits on Robberies

  • 2.2.1 Maximum Take Limit: The maximum amount of in-game currency or value that can be taken in a robbery is $25,000.
  • 2.2.2 Cooldown Period: Players can conduct a robbery no more than once every three days to prevent excessive robbery incidents.
  • 2.2.3 No Random Robberies: Randomly targeting players without any roleplay build-up or justification is prohibited.

2.3 Prohibited Robbery Types

  • 2.3.1 No Combat Logging: Robbers and victims must not log out of the game to avoid roleplay consequences during or after a robbery.
  • 2.3.2 No OOC Threats: Making out-of-character threats or using OOC information to facilitate robberies is forbidden.
  • 2.3.3 Avoiding Exploits: Using game mechanics exploits or bugs to facilitate robberies is strictly forbidden.

2.4 Player Interaction and Conduct

  • 2.4.1 Respect Fear RP: Victims must roleplay realistic fear responses during robberies. Similarly, robbers must allow for reasonable player reactions and not force actions unfairly.
  • 2.4.2 No Excessive Violence: While violence can be part of a robbery, avoid excessive or gratuitous violence that does not contribute to the roleplay narrative.
  • 2.4.3 Hostage Situations: Hostage scenarios must be realistic and involve detailed roleplay. Ensure that all players involved consent to the scenario to avoid discomfort.

2.5 Reporting and Resolution

  • 2.5.1 Reporting Robberies: Players who believe a robbery violated server rules should report the incident to staff with evidence such as screenshots or chat logs.
  • 2.5.2 Investigation and Restitution: Staff will investigate reported robberies and may return stolen items or currency if the robbery is found to violate server rules.

3. In-Character Consequences

  • 3.1 Law Enforcement: Robbers and scammers must be prepared for in-character consequences, such as being pursued by law enforcement or facing legal action.
  • 3.2 Player Retaliation: Victims of scams or robberies can seek in-character retaliation or legal recourse, adding depth and consequences to the roleplay.

Final Notes

  • Encourage Creative Roleplay: Players are encouraged to explore creative and engaging scenarios for scams and robberies, enhancing the roleplay experience for everyone involved.
  • Staff Support: Admins and staff are available to provide guidance, mediate disputes, and ensure that scams and robberies are conducted fairly and within the server rules.
  • Continuous Improvement: Scam and robbery rules are subject to regular review and updates to reflect the evolving needs of the server and ensure a positive experience for all players.

These rules aim to provide a balanced approach to scams and robberies in GTA Universe, ensuring that they add to the roleplay experience without leading to unfair exploitation or disruption. Let me know if there are any specific details or additional rules you'd like to include!
